Information about the apartment
Modern furnished living room with TV and parabolic aerial(many channels). Terrace with moveable windows. Beautiful view over tropical garden and common swimming pool. You can see the coast of Africa and Gibraltar from the apartment. Possibility of 2 extra beds in the living room. 5-7 minutes walk to a beautiful beach with many restaurants. It is possible to rent a sun lounger. Shops, bars and restaurants in immediate distance.

Market
There is a market every Wednesday and Saturday. Every Saturday there is a market in Fuengirola where you can buy everything between heaven and earth...
Golf
If you like golf, La Cala Resort will surely interests you. La Cala Resort is the biggest golfcomplex in whole Spain. The golfcourses are situated from the coast and inwards. The 3 big golfcourses are named Campo America, Campo Asia and Campo Europa which are under La Cala Resort. Other courses near by: Miraflores Golf, Santana Golf and Mijas Golf International.
Riding school
One of the bigger racetracks on the coast, Hipódromo Costa Del Sol, is in La Cala. You will see the sign in the center of the city. This track lies on the hill between La Cala and Fuengirola. Horses are very popular in Andalucía, and it is possible to rent a horse for one or more hours at a time.
Amusement park
Tivoli World is in Arroya de la Miel, near Benalmádena.
Animal park
Selwo is right before Estepona (162 km), which is about a 40 minutes drive from La Cala to the west, towards Gibraltar. Beautiful and comfortable. Selwo has an own buss, that goes to Selwo on regular times. The crocodilepark is in Torremolinos, about 20 kilometers towards Màlaga. In the middle of Fuengirola there is a zoo which is an expirience with every possible animals from tigers to meercats.
Excursion:
It takes about an hour to drive down to Gibraltar, but it's absolutely worth the trip. Just remember to come in good time. The lines get's longer and longer during the day. This is Europe's only country with wild monkeys. Hold on to your ice-cream, or else they will take it... It's also many shoppingpossibility's here.
Ronda is a city most people prefer. The city lies up in the mountains behind Marbella, and from La Cala there is about an hour driving. The biggest sights in Ronda are Spain's eldest bullfightarena, plus a beautiful historical stonebridge.
Another trip that is recommended is Granada. Here is the palace Alhambra, which also is worth a visit. Granada city has an exciting arabic market nearby the cathedral. If you are on the coast in the winter, is Sierra Nevada a good alternative where you can rent skies.
The capital of Andalucía is Sevilla. Beautiful city which has much to offer. It's shorter to drive to Màlaga, which has a botanic garden right in the middle. Marbella is also worthy of a visit. In the middle of the old city there is a beautiful orange garden. There you can sit down and drink something refreshing, while you're looking at the people in the town.
In case you would like to do something else, you can travel with the boat from Algeciras to Ceuta in Marokko, which also is a nice city. There is exciting guided tours where you can experience snake charmers, street trader, ride a camel, and some of the taste of the african kitchen, for exampel cous-cous. |
